Matt's Core Principles

Public Safety First.

Every person in our community must be able to safely pursue their hopes and dreams.

Responsible Fiscal Policy and Stewardship.

We must not leave our children with the burden of the current economic crisis.

Invest in our Neighborhoods and Children.

We need to work diligently to ensure the strength, vitality, and political significance of our great neighborhoods.  We must also work to deepen the connections between our neighborhoods and our children.

Economic Opportunity for All.

Every person who lives here must have the opportunity to succeed, and we must work tirelessly to end homelessness, poverty and exclusion.

Grow Political Power.

We need to re-establish Minneapolis' political power within the metro area. Minneapolis residents should no longer subsidize suburban sprawl.
